I believe that we’re all creative
I believe that we’re all creative in some capacity and to some extent. How we express and experience that creativity is different and unique to to each and every one of us. You may love black & white photography, whereas I am clearly mad about color. No matter how we choose to express ourselves or our souls, I believe that it is imperative to seek out those things that make our hearts flutter or our eyes water and either surround ourselves with these things or find ways to create them for ourselves.
I found my art and my style through trial and error. I found things that excited me, tried them, and messed up a lot. I found new things, attempted those, failed miserably, and then attempted more. Somewhere, some how, something clicked, both inside me and on the page, and I ran with it.
So my suggestion is, find something that inspires you — an idea, color, plan, movement, sound, smell, taste — and follow its lead. Get curious about it, and see if it strikes up a conversation. Employ your imagination, and trust that more often than not, a mistake can be magic.
